There are many different factors that influence how long it takes a resin bound specialist to complete a project, with key roles played by the surface area to be paved, the base or location of the paving, the complexity of the design, and the weather conditions.

resin bound pathway

Based on our experience as professionals in resin paving, we’re listing the average time needed to complete a project based on surface area.

  • Small surfaces like pathways or patios, around 20-50 square meters, can take 1 to 2 days to complete. This includes surface preparation, resin application, and drying time.
  • Medium surfaces like driveways, between 50-100 square meters, can take 2 to 3 days to finish. This involves more detailed preparation due to the larger surface and more challenging leveling.
  • Large surfaces such as commercial spaces or large driveways, over 100 square meters, can take 3 to 5 days or more, depending on size and complexity. Large areas are more difficult and complex to pave, requiring more labor and preparation time to complete.

Another factor to consider is the drying time required for the resin. Generally, people can walk on the resin-paved surface 4-6 hours after the work is completed. However, caution should be taken with vehicle traffic or heavy machinery, which should only be allowed after 24 hours to ensure the resin has fully dried.

Good, mild weather is ideal for resin drying, while rainy or extreme temperatures may delay our work and affect the resin's drying time.
