What is Resin Bound?

Resin Bound is a surfacing solution created by blending resin with aggregates in a forced-action mixer, resulting in a mixture that can be trowelled onto surfaces for a smooth, even finish.

Also known as a “stone carpet,” a Resin Bound system offers a seamless, decorative gravel surface that’s both attractive and highly durable.

Due to its unique mixing process, which creates small gaps between aggregates, a Resin Bound system is permeable. This quality makes it SUDS-compliant, meaning it generally doesn’t require planning permission when applied over a suitable porous subbase.

The Resin Bound system can be applied over both existing and new concrete or tarmac, making it ideal for creating attractive resin driveways, pathways, car parks, and other light-traffic surfaces.
