What are resin bound driveways?
Resin bound pool surrounds are a high-performance surfacing system made by blending natural stone aggregates with a clear resin binder. Applied by hand over a prepared base, the result is a seamless, durable, and slip-resistant surface. This permeable finish allows rainwater to drain away quickly, keeping the area safe and preventing puddles – ideal for poolside areas in the UK. These are sometimes referred to as stone bound pool surrounds.

Resin swimming pool surround installation process
We follow a thorough installation process to create a safe and durable surface around your pool, perfect for foot traffic and swimming area safety.
- 1Site assessment and design We begin with a comprehensive site visit to measure the pool area, inspect the current groundwork, and discuss your design vision.
- 2Base and edge preparation A solid foundation is crucial for pool surrounds. We prepare the sub-base and install robust edging that will keep the resin in place while providing a defined, stylish border.
- 3Expert mixing and laying Our team uses the highest quality materials, mixing resin and aggregate in precisely timed batches. We apply the mixture expertly for a smooth and seamless finish, ensuring safety, comfort, and durability around your pool.
- 4Curing and final inspection We allow the surface to cure quickly, so your pool surround is ready for foot traffic within 12 hours and full use in just three days. We also offer ongoing maintenance services to preserve the surface’s appearance and functionality.
